The arch pictured above is hypothesized to be the remaining evidence of a bake oven. In this image, the fireplace is located just to the right. Further evidence supporting the assumption is the discovery that the wall has been built out to be six inches thicker at this point. Using Ground Penetrating Radar on the other side of the wall may further support this assumption if there is found to be a disturbance at this location. Such a disturbance may suggest that an extension of the oven was built into the ground.
