For the third day in Park Muskau, we explored the mining bath area, which is the pocket shape area with the surrounding hills to be the background. During old times, this area gathered with wealth people take advantage of the mine to create a mining bath for social and relax. The gentle slope down to the river provide people a great scenery to look at. During the World War II, the lack of maintenance of the trees along the river bank lead to the canopy that block the view to the river today. The overlapping layers we explore around the mining area combined to be a landscape not only functions as a natural resource for mining, but also as a resource for mental and physical health of human. The combined function of landscape ties the nature and human together, providing a harmonious picturesque view of cultural landscape.
